About Us
Woodland Park
Woodland Park started in May of 2019 by founding members Paul Kakac & Joe Turba. They have since added Michael Elick as their main lead vocalist in May of 2022 with Joe retiring. This group has awesome original music, 12 songs of which are played locally on the Grizzly Rose's DJ playlist. Paul Kakac has been writing & recording original music since the early 90's and has a rock/blues background influence in his writing style that comes out in their music. They are an improv & very musical band with the way they approach playing originals/covers & their mashups. They are a country/rock/blues group with a huge emphasis on improve and unpredictability during their live shows. Their latest single's released "Whiskey and the Pain", "I Remember When" and "This Circle" reveal a more red dirt, intimate & more outlaw country undertones. Chris Demott on bass and Drew Cullis on drums fill out the rhythm section that is Woodland Park. Also Angela Hawkins sitting in on vocal's from time to time they are currently playing all over the Denver Metro area, be sure to sign up for the email distribution list and stay up to date on new music and events.
